Xenadrine EFX: Recipe

One of the latest miracle weight pills that made its way to the market is Xenadrine EFX, the successor to the original Xenadrine and produced by the New Jersey Company Cytodyne Technologies. So what are the ingredients of the brand new Xenadrine EFX?

For starters, it no longer contains ephedrine, a compound derived from the ephedra plant, which increased metabolism, thereby aiding with weight losing. Because it was banned by the FDA, it has been replaced with synephrine, a compound found in a citrus fruit named “bitter orange”. Synephrine has similar properties to ephedrine. It increases metabolism, a process by which fat cells are broken down and transformed into energy. This leads to faster weight loss and higher energy levels, because the lost pounds are converted to energy. This process is much more effective if you work out regularly, because doing effort also increases metabolism. Furthermore synephrine also suppresses you appetite, thereby making it easier for you to keep a diet and avoid those evil cheeseburgers. Synephrine is widely regarded as the star compound of Xenadrine EFX, because it works very well with the focus of the supplement on losing weight.

Another heavily research compound, which is part of the mix, is the green tea extract. A study issued in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, claims that green tea has thermo genic properties and promotes fat oxidation. This is a result of a small study involving 10 healthy young males, no one of whom was obese but who ranged from lean to mildly overweight. Each was randomly allotted to each of three meals containing one of three treatments: green tea extract (50 mg caffeine), 50 mg capsule of caffeine or a placebo capsule. On three different occasions, each spent 24 hours in a specially designed respiratory chamber in which researchers could measure energy expenditure and thermogenesis. Those who consumed green tea extract had a 4% increase in thermogenesis, with a total energy expenditure increase of 4.5%. This further boosts the weight losing properties of Xenadrine EFX.

Furthermore, green tea extract is naturally rich in anti-oxidants. This is a highly sought-after property in naturist products that improve overall health, because it helps with keeping the body younger, as well as reducing the risk of developing a lot of diseases.

Xenadrine EFX also contains a wide range of vitamins and minerals such as the vitamins C, B6 and pantothenic acid and the mineral magnesium. Another interesting compound is Norambrolide, which derived from the herb Salvia Sclarea, or clary sage, that may contain many medicinal properties. It allegedly promotes weight loss by activating the enzyme adenylyl cyclase, which in turn increases the chemical messenger cAMP, or cyclic adenosine monophosphate. cAMP supposedly activates several process within the body and might serve the weight loss purpose by stimulating the breakdown of fat. Other ingredients of low importance Xenadrine EFX contains are talc, magnesium stearate and gelatin. These ingredients are only important in maintaining the structural integrity of the capsules as well as increasing the shelf-life of the product.
