Benefits Of Xenadrine EFX

There is no secret that diets work too slow and are also very hard to keep. Usually they involve abstinence from your favourite food, favourite ice cream, favourite chocolate and cheeseburgers of course, which is easily the best invention ever. All of this for only 4 pounds of weight lost per month. In our extremely busy society doing exercise daily is also hard, as long as you do not have huge amounts of free time. Running that extra mile when you just got home from work at 8 pm. after a 10 hours shift is rarely an achievable result.
Coming to resolve this problem, up high on the white horse, all clad in silver armour, is the health industry. Sadly it mostly disappoints with expensive products that fail to live up to the expectations. But from time to time they launch supplements that actually show potential. Xenadrine is a dietary supplement from Cytogenix Laboratories, formerly known as Cytodyne, manufactured and marketed for losing weight.

This supplement gained a lot of popularity for its lack of ephedrine. This is a chemical substance used for weight loss, showing surprisingly good results, as well as fighting medical conditions such as nasal congestion, asthma and hypo-tension (or low blood pressure). Unfortunately, in 2004, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) banned ephedrine because it had been linked to increasing the risk of hypertension (or high blood pressure), heart attack and stroke. Despite this, Xenadrine’s producers claim their supplement is just as effective, with none of the risks associated to ephedrine.

The primary intended benefit of Xenadrine is weight loss. This is achieved by it anorexic effect, which means a diminished appetite. It basically suppresses hunger, so you eat less that you would normally do, thereby leading to weight loss. This is achieved by using key ingredients collectively known and trademarked as LipoCore cormino, frauenmantle, horsemint and wild olive. Because of this very effect, Xenadrine also shows some results in preserving lean muscle mass. This is why it may be useful for those interested in body-building, because building big muscles is reasonably easy, but building huge, lean muscles is a true challenge.

Xenadrine also contains increased level of caffeine, which serves two purposes. First of all caffeine increases energy levels, which further boosts Xenadrine’s usefulness for those that exercise a lot, and also increases your mind alertness. If you work long hours at the office this may save you from those often trips to the coffee machine. Furthermore caffeine has a synergetic effect with synephrine, the most active compound of Xenadrine. This means that they are much more effective together, rather than each one used individually.
Finally, despite all these properties, Xenadrine has a few problems. For one it is not FDA approved, so its safety is questionable. Furthermore, besides the clinical studies conducted by the producers, no other research exists on Xenadrine. So it should be used only after paying a visit to your doctor and even then make sure not to exceed the recommended dose.
