Xenadrine EFX: Bodybuilding

The body-building community is always excited for new supplements that would help them gain muscles faster, lose fat for leaner muscles or energize them for the inbound workout. A good training program and a proper diet can usually do the trick and even show amazing results, but this may be too slow for some. Especially for those that just want big, nice muscles to go along with their glasses when they take a sunny vacation. That is why the health industry came up with all kinds of protein shakes, powders that contain creatine (a substance which increases muscle volume), as well as pills for energy and a lot more supplements that boost results.

Very useful for those that do body-building in order to lose weight are pills that increase metabolism and reduce appetite, thereby making it easier to keep a strict diet. Such a supplement is Xenadrine EFX, which is an improved version over the original Xenadrine. Produced by the New Jersey Company Cytodyne Technologies, it is the newest weight pill that comes to satisfy the huge market demand for supplements that aid with weight loss. What makes Xenadrine EFX different from the original is its lack ephedrine, a compound derived from the ephedra plant. Ephedrine was banned in 2004 by FDA, as a result of its association with higher risks of hypertension (or high blood pressure), heart attack and stroke.

Ephedrine was replaced with a similar compound named synephrine. They share the same properties, namely increased metabolism, the process by which fat cells are broken down and converted to energy, and appetite suppressant properties. Furthermore, they also have in common the synergetic relationship to caffeine, which means that they are much more effective together, rather than each one used individually. Caffeine is also the main ingredient that boosts energy levels.

Xenadrine EFX contains other compounds with the same effects known as the LipoCore mix: cormino, frauenmantle, horsemint and wild olive.  Green tea, which has been previously linked to weight loss, is also part of the new mix. But to consider Xenadrine EFX a fresh new product with a new recipe is an overstatement. Cytodyne basically just replaced an ingredient with another one that has similar effects and then rebranded the whole supplement as something completely innovative.

The big problem with Xenadrine EFX is that no studies, beside the biased ones conducted by Cytone, are out there. So there is no telling if the new product is actually doing what the producers claim it to do. Based on general testimonies, it seems to be a tad more ineffective that its predecessor. Unfortunately there is also no telling to how risky the new supplements its or how often side-effects occur, but producers warn people with hypertension problems not to consume it. Doctors warn everybody against using it before a consult is done prior to consumption.

In conclusion Xenadrine EFX may be helpful as a supplement for those that want to lose weight fast or for those that struggle to achieve lean muscles, but taking into account the lack of research to back up this product, better products are out there.
